Watch the video to get you pumped up for some sporty challenges!
This year’s Brackenbury Sports Day will look a little different. It may take place in your house, on a pavement, in a garden or the local park but the activities will still challenge your skills and fitness.
Read through the skills activities, and watch the videos demonstrating how to perform the fitness challenges correctly and safely. Remember to warm up and you may practice before you enter your final scores. Scores should be entered online by following the link on the school website and they must be in by Thursday 9th July at 3:00pm
There is a printable scorecard here if you would like to use it. You may also wish to compete against others in your family. Just like other Sports Days your efforts will get you points for your house – every score counts! The activities are all ones that can be carried out with no special equipment.
Will it be Easthill, Vale, Victoria or Wish this year?
Have fun!

Park Challenges
The local park to our school, Victoria Park, has a new path around the outside of it. This is the ideal set up for some Brackenbury Primary Park Challenges for our Sports Week.
Just go to the park if you can at any time during Sports Week, beginning 6th July, choose a challenge and time yourself, then enter your results online . We will then collect up all the times before announcing the winning house.
Challenges:
1. Run a full lap around the park
2. Cycle 2 laps around the park
3. Skip 1 lap around the park
You can take part in just one, two or all three of the challenges. Just make sure, that when you send in your results, it is clear which challenge(s) you entered.
Warm up, practice - then Go For It! But be careful – watch out for any pedestrians!!
Can’t get to Victoria Park? That’s OK, one lap of Victoria Park is approximately 0.5KM so you could carry out the challenges over the same distance but somewhere convenient to you.
