SCIENCE AT BRACKENBURY
We are Scientists
Our vision for science
At Brackenbury Primary School, we want all children to aspire to becoming the scientists of the future. Our science curriculum fosters and sustains children’s curiosity by providing opportunities for them to plan and carry out enquiries in order to ask and then answer their own scientific questions. Children extend their knowledge through learning experiences carried out inside and outside of the classroom. Links made to their own experiences and other subject areas support their understanding of how science has impacted today’s society. By focussing on particular scientists or specific scientific developments, children are able to explore how scientific knowledge is created but also evolves over time.
Our curriculum plans are here.

We were awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) in Autumn 2020 - 2021.
