Home Learning

At Brackenbury Primary School we value the importance of the home and school working in partnership, so that children are immersed in a learning culture which involves parents and carers as partners in education.

EYFS Home Learning

Key Stage 1 Home Learning

Key Stage 2 Home Learning

We believe that home learning should underpin the school curriculum and offer meaningful experiences that deepen children’s knowledge and understanding. For this reason, home learning will reflect opportunities naturally occurring within school, so that it is constructive and beneficial to each child.

Home learning will be offered through the continuous provision of opportunities to develop core skills, such as regular book bags and reading logs, access to 'Bug Club' to read books online and ‘sumdog’ to practise math skills. There will also be more focused provision in key stage 2 where children will have the opportunity to be independent learners and also work as a team as part of collaborative tasks.
